Stats on Divorce

Over one million children are involved in the dissolution of their parents' marriage each year. Approximately 1/3 of parents remain disgruntled for several years. In 1990 the average female age for remarriage was 30.6 years, while males averaged 33.7 years. In 1990 the average female age for a second marriage was 37.3 years, while males averaged 40.4 years. Under current divorce laws, more people are participating in second marriages.
