Divorce Laws | 2003 Divorce Statistics

Over one million children are effected by divorce laws and the dissolution of their parents' marriage each year. Approximately 1/3 of parents remain significantly upset for 3 or more years. In 1990 the average female age when remarrying was 30.6 years old, while males averaged 33.7 years old. In 2003, the reported average female age for a second marriage was 37.3 years old, while males averaged 40.4 years old.
