Divorce Laws, Divorce Effects On Children

Commonly children often mistakenly believe their parents are stable. Following a break up, a child's surprise may turn to distrust. Stress, anxiety and resentment often are concealed as children cope with the trauma caused by the loss of a parent. The first observation of the symptoms of psychological trauma are likely to be teachers (dramatic shifts in academic performance) or school guidance counselors (trained professionals who review large changes in behavior and grades). Most state divorce laws require custody agreements to include medical insurance.

Divorce Laws Provided By Statutes

Family law lawyers must pass a written examination and background verification before licensure by the state bar.  The examination is designed to insure basic competency, including analysis of divorce law issues, child custody and support issues, and familiarity with the rules of court. Family law lawyers must also complete a minimum annual quota in participatory hours in continuing legal education seminars approved by the state bar. State divorce laws, whether provided by codes, administrative regulation, or judicial opinions, change frequently in response to political and social impact. Because of the complicated structure of divorce law applications, each interested party should consult a family law lawyer prior to taking any legal action.
